Science! is back for more! Tomorrow night in Des Moines at the Vaudeville Mews, 7pm, all ages, $10. Manhattan music fans: Catch them at The Bitter End on Friday, September 6th at 8pm. Bring your ID (it’s 21+) and some cash (cover is TBD at the moment). Brooklyn, head out to Littlefield on September 7th at 8pm (21+, $10). Read on for their favorite parts on the last trip they made through DSM and NYC. If you missed it last time, do yourself a favor and don’t do that again.

Q: Describe your sound in three exclamative words!
A: Truthful! Original! Guitar! = Science!

Q: You made a trip to Des Moines and NYC just a couple of weeks ago. What was most memorable about those shows?
A: We had a great turnout and super positive reception for the last trip, particularly since it was our first time playing both cities…that was very encouraging and really made the experience for us quite memorable. Also Fong’s!

Q: What are you looking forward to this time around?
A: This trip for us is to continue building our following – grass roots style. We love getting back to towns, reconnecting with fans from the last tour and meeting new folks that share our passion for live music. Also, Fong’s!

Q: What is your on-the-road advice for musicians looking to take on their first tour?
A: Step 1: Canadian Hunter.

Step 2: Keep it light, have a positive attitude and remember it’s the best job in the world.

Step 3: If step 2 isn’t working, please see step 1.

Q: What has been your favorite part of the tour so far?
A: We had a pretty crazy trip to the Seattle Hempfest, flying in and out of Denver mid-tour. That was a top notch and exceptional festival experience that we were fortunate enough to take part in this year. It’s always really exciting to share your music on a big stage like that.

Q: Have any crazy fan stories?
A: Yes. We’re not sure where to even start  on this one…I guess folks will just have to come see for themselves!

Q: You had a crazy entourage at your last NYC show. Did you bring your entire extended family on tour with you or are they all from the New York area?
A: Ha! That was a mere fraction of our extended family…luckily, the reasonable fraction. We spent a ton of time living out on Long Island so we have so many great supporters, family and friends in the area that it makes for a wild fun tour stop and visit. Bringing them along might be a good idea for next time though–in a separate bus, of course.
