Local musicians: The Des Moines Music Coalition (DMMC) is taking submissions for this year’s GDP festival. They’re due by February 11th, so don’t waste any time!
This year, the music fest will showcase local acts at the Vaudeville Mews, 4th Street Theater, and additional venues to be announced. Just as last year’s event celebrated Des Moines’ East Village culture, this year will feature the 4th Street venues. Some of the hardest working bands in the area will be showcased at the 8th annual showcase.
To enter your band into the running to play at GDP, shoot an email to info@desmoinesmc.com with the following information:
- Band name
- Hometown
- Band contact info (name, email, phone number)
- Brief bio of the band (touring, albums, your goals, etc.)
- 1-3 mp3s and/or links to download/hear your music)
- Links to your website and all social media sites

Make sure you submit your band before Monday, February 11 at 12:59pm. The DMMC will send you a confirmation that your materials were received so make sure and keep an eye out for that.
Once your materials are received, a team of DMMC members will finalize the line-up based on your submissions. Local musician fans, you can get involved in the selection process, too! Get more information here, or shoot an email to info@desmoinesmc.com.
