Hey, local music lovers.
It’s been a while! And a lot has happened in the last couple of weeks when it comes to the music scene in the great city of Des Moines. Maximum Ames is just a day away and The World Food Festival is this weekend–including Dustin Smith, The Snacks, and Chad Elliott, among many others. Check the site for a full entertainment schedule.
In the midst of all the buzz, the much anticipated Maximum Ames Iowa Music Store has launched. With the intent of becoming the hub for all local music merchandise (shirts, albums, etc), the group also plans on creating pop-up shops that will make appearances at local festivals and music events. Make sure and keep an eye out for them this weekend at the Maximum Ames Music Festival.
An added perk: If you’re one of the first 50 people to spend $30 or more, you’ll be the proud owner of one of the Raygun shirts modeled below.
Stay tuned, dudes. We have a bunch of musician interviews in the works. While you’re waiting for those, check out some of the great shows going on at our wonderful local venues. Check the line-up here.
